The vth of March Anno Dm 1611

In the name of God Amen I Tomizin Phelpes of Yevell in Countie of Some[r]set wydowe beinge sicke in bodie and whole in mynde make my last will and Testament as follows In primis I give and bequeath my soule unto thalmightie and my bodye to be buried in the Church or Churchyard of the p[a]rysh of Yevell It[e]m I give unto the p[a]rish Cgurch of Yevell xijs [12 shillings] I give unto the poor of the same p[a]rish xs [10 shillings] Item I give unto my sonne John Phelpes the younger the moyetie or halfendeale of A Tenement w[i]th thappurtenances at Coscombe in the Countie of Dorest called Russels or Downtons tenement now in the occupation of Elize Russel for all such terme of yeares as are yet to come. It[e]m I give unto my daughter Elizabeth Bristowe vli [£5] yerely [word illegible] quarterly to be paide her duringe her naturall life by my said sonne John Phelpes the Younger out of the aforesaid tenement. I[t]em I give her the said Elizabeth Bristowe my daughter all my wearing apparell aswell lyninge [ie linen] and wollinge [ie woollens] except one partlet and one of my [word illegible] petticote w[hi]ch I doe give unto my servant Marie Lashmoore. It[e]m I give unto my eldest sonne Gyles Phelpes two elder daughters Jeane and Anne three silver spoones to each of them. It[e]m I give unto my sonne William Phelpes eldest sonne Joseph Phelpes my silver salt. It[e]m I give unto his two daughters Elizabeth Phelpes and Joane Phelpes to each of them two platers. It[e]m I give unto my sonne Phelpes th[e]elderhis eldest sonne Gyles my great brass pan in ther kitchyn. It[e]m I give unto daughters Elizabeth and Tamzin to each of them two platers. It[e]m I give unto my sonne in lawe John Bristowes two daughters Kathryn and Frauncesto each of them two platers. It[e]m I give unto his eldest daughter Kathryn my goddaughter one great or longe Canvas Bordcloth. It[e]m I give unto his eldest sonne John Bristowe one metall skillet now in his fathers occupacion. It[e]m I give unto Peter Phelpes my sonne the Chamber next unto Braynes Featherloft and the loft overhead w[i]th the bed bedsteed table and furniture [none ?] there being and voyde ground in the streete and the litle shop now in Richard Collens occupation for all the yeres yet to come. I give unto my saide sonne John Phelpes the Younger all the residue of the roomes of my house now in my possession viz the butterie the seller, kitchin, kitchin chamber, the hall, and inner chamber the garden backside [skyllens wethouse ?] for all the terme of yeres yet to come. I give him more my bedinge and other household stuffe in the Hall and in the inner Chamber. I give and bequeath unto my sonnes John Phelpes the Younger and Peter Phelpes the Residue of all my goods moveable and unmoveable not formerly given to be equallie divided betwixt them both Whome I make Executors of this my last Will and Testament. I make my sonnes Gyles Phelpes and William Phelpes Overseers of this my last Will and Testament and I doe give them xijd [12 pence] a peece for there paynes.
