1531 Will of Nicholas Rodberd

Husbandman of Marsh

 

In the name of God Amen The Five and Twentie daie of November in Anno domini One thousand five hundred thirtie One I Nicholas Rodberd of Marsh in the parish of Yeavill in the Countie of Somerset Husbandman being sicke of body but of good and perfect memorie thankes be given to Allmightie God Doe ordaine and make this my last will and Testament in manner and forme followinge First I commend my sule to Allmightie God my maker and Redeemer And my body to be buried in the Churchyard of Yeavill Item I give unto Elizabeth Ridwort [inserted = the daughter of John Ridwort] five pound of good and lawfull money Item I give unto Jaone Rodberd the daughter of John Rodberd my brother the Younger twentie seaven pound Item I give unto my brother John Rodberd the Elder sixe pence and all his Children five pence apeece Item I give unto my Sister Francis sixe pence and her child five pence Item I give unto John Rodberd the sonne of my brother John the younger five pence Item I give unto Dority Ridwort sixe pence All the rest of my goods not before herein given nor bequeathed I give unto my brother John Rodberd the younger whom I doe make my whole Executor of this my last will and Testament to pay my debts and legacies and to discharge my funerall expences In the presence of
