In the name of god amen The thirtenth daye of february in the yeare of our Lord god after the course and computacon of the Church of England a thousand five Hundred fower score and seaven I John Lyde of the parish or yevell in the Countie of Som[er]s[e]t and in the dioces of Bath and Welles being sicke in bodye nevertheles of good and perfecte memorye laude and prayse be given to almightye god doe ordayne and Constitute this my last will and Testament in manner and forme following First I give and bequeathe my soule into the handes of Almightye god my maker and my Redeemer and my bodie to be buried in the Churcheyard of yevell Item I give and bequeath towardes the reparacons of the Churche of yevell five shillinges It[e]m I give and bequeathe unto my sonne Lyonell lyde fortie shillinges of good and lawfull moneye of England And also I geve unto him my [viall ?] my [Tronde ?] and my working tooles The residue of all my goods and debtes not bequeathed I give and bequeathe unto my wief Christian Lyde whome I doe nominate and appointe to be my whole executrix of this my last will and Testament In witnes whereof
