perfect
understanding Do
make and ordain
this my last
Will and
Testament this
twelfth Day of
October 1739
First I commend
my Soul into the
hands of
Almighty God
hoping the
forgiveness of
all my Sins
through the only
merits death and
passion of Jesus
Christ my only
Saviour and
Redeemer And as
for my Worldly
Estate I dispose
of as follows To
my dear Wife One
Close on
Hendford Hill
now rented by
John Somerton
three Closes of
Pasture called
Churchway now
rented to Love
Hunt one acre of
Arable ground in
Northover Field
called Coxalls
now rented by Mr
William Daniell
Item I give to
my said Wife All
that my House in
Grope Lane where
Mrs Harris now
lives with the
outhouses and
appurtenances
and the Gardens
likewise to her
Executors
Administrators
and Assigns for
and during the
remainder of the
years therein to
come I give to
my Dear Wife the
Sum of eight
score pounds due
on a Mortgage on
Rob[er]t Sealy's
Estate and also
all my Right
Title and
Interest to an
Estate lately in
the possession
of Solomon Ellin
lying at Lake in
the parish of
Kingsbury Bishop
and also Fifty
pounds on a
Mortgage on part
of an Estate
belonging to Mrs
Dare and all the
Goods in the
house I now
dwell in Item I
make my Wife my
Sole Executrix
of this my last
Will and
Testament as
Witness my hand
