1762 Will of Elizabeth Goodford

Widow

 

In the Name of God Amen I Elizabeth Goodford of Yeovill in the County of Somerset Widow do make this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say I Give and Devise all my Manors Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments whatsoever and wheresoever with their and every of their rights Members and Appurtenances unto my Daughter Mary Goodford her Heirs and Assigns for ever I Give unto my Cousin John Daniel and Elizabeth his Wife and to Ann Goodford Sister of the said Elizabeth Daniel Ten Pounds apiece Also all the Rest and Residue of my Personal Estate Goods and Chattels of what nature or kind soever not herein before by me given I give unto my said Daughter Mary Goodford whom I do make Sole Executrix of this my Will In Witness whereof I the said Elizabeth Goodford have hereunto set my hand and seal this Sixteenth day of April 1762

Signed Sealed Published and declared by the said Testatrix Elizabeth Goodford as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at her request and in her presence have subscribed out Names as Witnesses hereto

This Will was proved at London on the Seventh day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven Hundred and Sixty three before the Worshipful Andrew Coltee Ducarel Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipful Sir Edward Simpson Knight Doctor of Laws Master Keeper or Commissary of the Prerogative Court of Canterbury lawfully constituted by the oath of Mary Goodford Widow the Daughter of the said deceased and Sole Executrix named in the said Will To whom Administration was granted of all and singular the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased having been first Sworn duly to Administer
