This is the last Will
and Testament of
me Elias Newman
of Yeovil in the
County of
Somerset Baker I
commend my Soul
to God through
Christ and my
body I commit to
the Earth to be
decently buried
at the
discretion of my
daughter and
Executrix
hereinafter
named I Give and
devise my
Freehold
Messuage Lands
and
Hereditaments
situate lying
and being in the
Parish of
Halstock in the
County of Dorset
unto my Son
Thomas Newman
for and during
the term of his
natural life and
from and after
his death I Give
and devise the
same unto my
daughter Mary
Clothier and my
Grandaughter
Mary Ring as
tenants in
common and not
as joint tenants
their Heirs and
Assigns for ever
I Give and
devise unto my
Grandson John
Clothier the
Younger and his
Assigns for and
during the term
of his natural
life the Weekly
Sum of [three?]
shillings to be
issuing and
payable out of
my Freehold
Messuages Lands
and
Hereditaments
situate lying
and being in the
parish of Yeovil
aforesaid and to
be paid him the
said John
Clothier and his
Assigns Weekly
on every Monday
without any
deduction on
account of Taxes
or otherwise
howsoever the
first payment to
be made on the
Monday next
after my death
