1793 Obligation (Part-printed)
From William Lambert White to Mary Bright, Robert Man & Mariana Man
Know all Men by these presents That I William Lambert White in the County of Somerset Gentleman am held and firmly bound to Mary Bright of Yeovil aforesaid Spinster and Robert Man of Lymington in the County of Hants Esquire and Mariana his Wife (which said Mary Bright and Mariana Man are the surviving joint Executrixes named in the last Will of Sarah Bright late of Yeovil aforesaid Spinster deceased) in the Sum of Eight hundred pounds of Good and lawfull Money of Great Britain To be paid to the said Mary Bright, Robert Man and Mariana his Wife or one of them or their or one of their certain Attorney Executors Administrators or Assignes For the true payment whereof I bind my self my Heirs Executors and Administrators and every of them firmly by these Presents stated with my Seal Dated this eighteenth day of June in the thirty third Year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by the grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and so forth and in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Ninety three
The Condition of this Obligation is such That if the above Bounden William Lambert White his Heirs Executors or Administrators or either of them shall and do well and truly pay or Cause to be paid unto the above named Mary Bright, Robert Man and Mariana his Wife or any or either of them their or any or either of their Executors Administrators or Assignes the Full Sum of Fur hundred pounds with interest for the same from the fifth day of May last (at the rate of four pounds and ten shillings by the hundred by the year) of Good and lawfull Money of Great Britain (being the same sum which is mentioned to be the consideration of a certain Indenture of Mortgage bearing date the fifth day of May one thousand seven hundred and ninety one made between Edward Bucher of Yeovil aforesaid Gentleman of the one part and the said Sarah Bright of the other part) without [Frand ??] or further delay Then this Obligation to be void and of none effect or else to remain in full force or Virtue
