1809 Will of John Laver

of Yeovil

 

In the Name of God Amen I John Laver of Yeovil in the County of Somerset being of sound mind and perfect memory do hereby make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say I give and bequeath unto my dear wife Elizabeth Laver all my [word illegible] household Goods and Furniture with all other my Personal Estate and Effects that I shall bee possessed of during the term of her natural life or as long as she shall keep herself a widow or unmarried and as I have one hundred pounds out at use my will is that my said Wife shall have full power to make use of any part or the whole of the said hundred pounds if she should not be able to maintain her self without and so long as she remain a widow and after the decease of my said Wife I give and bequeath unto my son William Laver all the aforesaid household Goods and Furniture and other my Effects and my will is that my said Wife Eliz[abe]th Laver shall pay unto my son William Laver the sum of five pounds at my decease with all my wearing apparel  I give and bequeath unto my Grand daughter Hannah Vincent Ten pounds after the decease of my said wife Eliz[abe]th Laver if there should be so much left out of the hundred pounds now at use and I do appoint & nominate my said Wife Elizabeth Laver my sole and whole Executrix to this my last Will and Testament in Witness hereunto I have set my hand and seal this thirty first day of December and in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and nine

Proved at London 10th June 1814 before the Judge by the oath of Elizabeth Laver Widow the Relict and sole Executrix to whom adm[inistrati]on was granted having been first sworn by Com[missi]on duly to adm[iniste]r
