This is the last Will and Testament of me Sarah Moore of Yeovil in
the County of
Somerset
Spinster I give
and bequeath and
I accordingly
hereby direct my
Executrixes
hereinafter
named to
transfer unto my
friends Joseph
Chaffey of
Martock in the
said County
Surgeon and
William Colt
Wood of Martock
aforesaid
Esquire All that
stark in the
three per Cent
Consolidated
annuities which
shall at the
time of my
decease be
standing in my
name in the
books of the Gov
and Company of
the Bank of
England To hold
unto the said
Joseph Chaffey
and William Colt
Wood their
Executors and
Administrators
Upon trust to
receive the
Dividends and
Produce thereof
from time to
time as the same
shall become
payable and pay
or cause to be
paid the same
unto the proper
hands of my
several nieces
Sarah Moore
Elizabeth Peal
Eleanor Moore
and Susannah
Moore the
daughters of my
brother John
Moore in equal
shares and
proportions for
and during their
respective lives
or to such
person or
persons as they
shall
respectively buy
any note or
notes in writing
under their
respective hands
from time to
time direct or
appoint to
receive the same
to and for their
own sole and
separate use and
benefit apart
from their
respective
husbands and my
Will is that
such husbands
shall not nor
shall either of

the said
dividends and
produce or any
part thereof
neither shall
the same be
subject or
liable to them
or any of them
of their
controul debts
or engagements
and the receipts
of my said
several nieces
whether covert
or discovert or
of such person
or persons as
they any or
either of them
shall from time
to time as
aforesaid direct
or appoint to
receive the same
shall be good
and sufficient
discharges for
so much of the
said dividends
and produce as
shall be therein
acknowledged or
expressed to be
received And
from and after
the several and
respective
decease is of my
said nieces Upon
trust to
transfer and pay
over the said
stock dividends
and produce unto
and amongst all
and every of the
Children of my
said nieces in
the proportion
of one fourth
part of the said
stock together
with the
Dividends and
Produce thereof
unto the
Children of each
of my said
nieces and the
respective
Executors
Administrators
or Assigns of
such Children
Provided and my
Will is that if
any one or more
of the said
Children of my
said nieces
shall happen to
die under the
age of twenty
one years
unmarried and
without issue
then the share
or shares of him
her or them so
dying shall go
and be paid to
his her all
their surviving
brothers and
sisters at such
time or times as
his her all
their original
share or shares
would have
become payable
And my Will
further is that
all and every
the shares and
share so
directed to
survive shall
from time to
time survive
together with
the original
share and share
is until such
original share
and share is
shall become
payable Provided
further and my
Will is that in
case any one or
more of my said
nieces shall
happen to die
without leaving
any Child of her
or their body or
bodies who shall
be living at the
time of her or
their decease or
there being such
and they shall
all happen to
die under the
age of twenty
one years
unmarried and
without issue
then I do direct
my said Trustees
and the survivor
of them his
Executors and
Adm[inistrat]ors
to pay and
transfer the
share or shares
of her or them
so dying unto
and amongst the
survivor and
survivors of my
said nieces and
their respective
Children in the
like manner and

hereinbefore
bequeathed to
them their
original share
and shares And
if all my said
nieces shall
happen to die
without leaving
any child of
their or either
of their bodies
who shall be
living at the
death of the
survivor of my
said nieces or
their being such
and they shall
all happen to

age of twenty
one years
unmarried and
without issue
then I do hereby
direct my said
trustees and the
survivor of them
his Executors
and
Administrators
to pay and
transfer the
said stock
dividends and
produce unto my

Henry Moore
Robert Moore and
Thomas Moore in
equal shares and
proportions and
their respective
executors
administrators
and assigns I
give and
bequeath unto
the Minister and
Churchwardens
for the time
being of the
parish of West
Coker in the
said County the
sum of one
hundred pounds
stock in the
[Navy ?] Five
per Cent
annuities To
hold the same
unto the said
Minister and
Churchwardens
and their
successors Upon
trust to reserve
the dividends
and produce
thereof from
time to time as
the same shall
become payable
and lay out and
expended the
same in and
about the
maintenance and
support of the
sunday school
belonging to the
established
Church now or
hereafter
subsisting in
West Coker
aforesaid in
such manner as
they the said
Minister and
Churchwardens or
the majority of
them shall in
their discretion
think fit and I
direct that the
Minister and
Churchwardens
aforesaid shall
as soon as the
venue of the may
be after my
decease cause a
memorial of this
bequest to be
inscribed on a
Tablet and that
the same be set
up in some
conspicuous part
of the Church of
West Coker
aforesaid the
better to
receive the said
legacy or
donation from
being at any
time hereafter
die vested from
the purpose for
which I desire
it provided and
my will is that
my brother John
Moore and his
Descendants who
for the time
being shall be
entitled to the
dwelling house
wherein my said
brother the said
John Moore now
resides situate
in West Coker
aforesaid shall
from time to
time and at all
times have the
nomination and
appointment of
five Children to
the said Sunday
School so as
that there may
be constantly in
such School that
number of
Children of his
or their
nomination and
appointment And
my Will further
is that if at
any time
hereafter such
Sunday School
shall cease to
subsist for the
space of twelve
months
successively
then I do direct
that the said
last mentioned
stock shall sink
into and be
considered as
part of the
residue of my
personal estate
hereinafter
bequeathed I
give and devise
unto my nephews
the said John
Moore Henry
Moore and Robert
Moore all and
singular my
dwelling houses
and gardens and
hereditaments
situate in the
parish of Yeovil
aforesaid late
Sealy's and late
Brookes's to
hold the same
unto my said
nephew's John
Moore Henry
Moore and Robert
Moore their
heirs and
assigns for ever
in equal shares
and proportions
as tenants in
common and not
as joint tenants
subject
nevertheless as
to the share and
proportion of my
said nephew John
Moore and
charged and
chargeable to
and with the
payment of the
sum of one
hundred pounds
unto my nephew
Robert Moore at
the exploration
of six calendar
months next
after my said
nephew the said
John Moore shall
be in the actual
possession of
the lands and
hereditaments at
West Coker in
the said County
comprised in the
settlement made
on the Marriage
of his father
and mother I
give and devise
unto my nephew
Thomas Moore all
that my dwelling
house wherein I
now reside
together with
the outhouses
garden and two
Orchards
adjoining now in
my occupation to
hold the same
with the
appurtenances
unto the said
Thomas Moore his
heirs and
assigns forever
subject
nevertheless and
charged and
chargeable to
and with the
payments of the
sum of five
hundred pounds
to my said for
nieces the said
sum of five
hundred pounds
accordingly to
be paid to them
by the said
Thomas more his
heirs or assigns

one moiety or
half part
thereof at the
end of one year
after my decease
and the other
moiety or half
part thereof at
the end of two
years next after
my decease And
my Will is and I
hereby direct my
said Trustees
and the survivor
of them and the

first place
reimburse and
indemnify and to
deduct and
retain to
themselves and
himself out of
the said trust
monies
respectively all
such costs
charges damages
and expenses as
they or either
of them shall on
may at any time
and expended lay
out or be put
unto four or by
reason or means
of all or any or
either of the
trusts hereby in
them reposed and
that neither of
them shall be
answerable for
any loss which
may happen of
any of the said
trust monies
unless such loss
happen through
his or their
wilful neglect
or default nor
one for the
other of them
nor for more
monies than
shall actually
come to each of
their hands
respectively but
each of them for
his own acts
deeds neglects
and defaults
only I give and
bequeath unto my
said nephew the
said Thomas
Moore his
Executors
Administrators
and Assigns all
my household
goods and
furniture linen
in and China all
the rest and
residue and
remainder of my
lands tenements
and
hereditaments
monies and
securities for
money goods
chattels and
effects I give

and Susanna

be divided
between them

alike as tenants
in common and
not as joint
tenants and
their respective

Lastly I do a
point to my said
nieces
Executrixes of
this my Will but
it is my request
and desire that
my said nephew
is as well as my
said nieces show
each of them pay
and bear an
equal proportion
of the expenses
of obtaining
probate hereof

bracelet buckles

China now in the
Cupboard in my
middle Bedroom

wearing apparel
(except my silk
Dresses my
Common blue ware
coloured tea pot
and cup and
saucer to match
and such useful
plates and
dishes as my
Executrixes
shall think
proper and my
quarter barrel
my small
bedstead where
she sleeps all
with the
bedsheets
blankets and
curtains thereto
belonging and
the use during
her life only of
my Kitchen Clock
six ash Chairs
of my table and
to chairs in the
back Kitchen and
of my small
boiler tea
Kettles and
Sauce pan I give
and bequeath to
my nephew Thomas
Moore my apple
Mill and Cider
Press with my
Casks and
Liquors,
together with my
large bible and
all my plate
which I have not
hereinbefore
specifically
disposed of and
also the several
articles of
which I have
hereinbefore
given the use to
the said Mary
Legg for her
life And to the
end that there
may be
misapprehension
or
misconstruction
of my will as to
the Orchard late
Sealy's I do
direct that such
Orchard was not
intended to be
comprehended in
or to pass by
the device of
the
hereditaments in
my said Will
mentioned to my
nephews John
Moore Henry
Moore and Robert
Moore, but that
such Orchard was
intended to be
comprehended in
and to pass by
the devise of
the two Orchards
therein
mentioned to my
said nephew
Thomas and I
accordingly
hereby give and
devise the same
to him the said
Thomas Moore his
heirs and
assigns for
ever. And I do
hereby confirm
my said Will in
every other
respect in
witness whereof
