1834 will of maria masters

Spinster of Yeovil

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me Maria Masters of Yeovil in the County of Somerset  I give and bequeath to Elizabeth Masters daughter of James Masters the sum of thirty pounds and my best shawl broach and one rings and silver tea spoons & Tongs  I give my Brother John Masters the Interest of fifty pounds yearley and after his death the money to be given to his daughter Mary and part of my wearing apparel  I give and bequeath to my Brother Thomas Masters the Interest of fifty pounds during his natural life after his death the money to be devi[d]ed be tween his children  I wish my Brother John and Thomas to 5 pound each within a Month after my death  I wish Mr William Hooper Masters and Mr Porton Clifon to be trust over my Brothers  I give my Brother Charles Masters the remainder  I give Mr William Masters and Mr Porton five pounds each. I have Signd and seald this my last will

On the 11th day of Jan[uar]y 1844 adm[inistrati]on with the will annexed of the Goods Chattels and Credits of Maria Masters late of Yeovil in the County of Somerset Spinster deceased was granted to Mary Akerman (Wife of Stephen Akerman) the lawful Niece and one of the persons entitled in distribution to the undisposed of residuary personal Estate and Effects of the said deceased having been first sworn duly to administer. No Executor or residuary legatee named in the said Will. Thomas Masters the natural and lawful Brother and only next of kin of the said deceased having first renounced the letters of Adm[inistrati]on with the said Will annexed of the Goods of the said deceased as by Acts of Court appears.
