cow inn (1)
South Street
The first Cow Inn, not to be confused with the later Cow Inn in South Street, was a seventeenth century alehouse but its location remains unknown.
The only reference to it is in the notes of Leonard Hayward, dating it as flourishing in 1697. Nothing else is known.
