It opened on 18 December 1957 with the Western Gazette calling it "Yeovil's most modern public house". The opening ceremony was performed by Mrs Pope, wife of the Chairman of the brewers Eldridge Pope & Co of Dorchester. The first landlord was Percy Hawkins who had previously run the Greyhound Hotel in South Street.
Not much else to say really, I visited a few times in the past and it was absolutely dreadful and appeared to be run by teenagers for their mates.
February 2016 - closed and demolished. Even though I loathe to see pubs disappear, in my experience this was not really a great loss - every time I visited it was dire.
