Rackleford
There is almost no information concerning The Anchor which was, presumably, an alehouse in Rackleford (today's Market Street) around 1740.
It was left in the will of Samuel Cunnock to his daughter Jane Terrel "lying in Rackleford Known by the name of the Anchor". Samuel was a Yeovil carpenter and owned five properties in Yeovil, including The Anchor, at the time of his death.
If anyone has any further information, please contact me.
